COMMENTS

Head coach Jim Grobe is one of the most well liked coaches in college football. However, after two straight just under .500 seasons the heat might be on in Winston-Salem. The Demon Deacons have a 16 starters back on offense and defense so Wake Forest should be significantly improved. On offense, quarterback Tanner Price, who threw for 2,300 yards, 12 TDs and seven interceptions is back. Wide receiver Michael Campanaro, who caught 12 passes for 153 yards and 12 touchdowns against Army last season, is also back. Defensively the Deacons returns inside linebacker Justin Jackson who led the team in tackles in 2012 with 82. Jackson also had four sacks and 8 1/2 tackles for loss along with four quarterback hurries. Cornerback Kevin Johnson, who picked off three passes a year ago, returns.
