6-foot-3, 245 pound Illinois lineman Nick Czar has made a verbal commitment to Army according to a report on BND.com. Czar, who will be a junior during the upcoming football told BND that the reason he pulled the switch early was due to his family tradition of serving in the Army.
"Early? Absolutely not because my grandpa's been in (the Army), my uncle's in it. It's a Czar tradition in our household.
"It produces leaders and I believe that will set me in a good position for success in life."
Czar apparently was at Michie Stadium last season for the Black Knight's 41-21 win over Air Force.
The article said Czar call to commit to Army assistant coach Tucker Waugh but forgot to commit and had to call Waugh back.
