Rhyan England (5-10, 180) from Collins Hills, Georgia had been offered by Jeff Monken's staff at Georgia Southern and followed him to West Point. England earned Class 6A first-team defensive back honors for intercepting nine passes last year. He also played wide receiver and runs a 4.63 forty-yard dash. England will be probably be tried at slotback or wide receiver. Alex Turner is a 5-7, 170 pound running back from Sabino high school in Arizona. He has 4.64 speed and played running back, wide receiver and return specialist. Turner produced 1,664 total yards and 15 touchdowns in 13 games last year. At running back he ran for 792 rushing yards and eight touchdowns.
Isaiah Williams (6-0, 195) was a teammate and best friend of Sam Walker at South Forsyth high school in Georgia. Williams was second in the county in rushing with 1,033 yards, a 6.4 yards average on 161 carries with eight touchdowns. Williams earned first-team all-county and all-region honors his senior season. Williams is expected to play this year at USMAPS.
Nicolas Black is a running back from College Park high school in Texas. Black is an elusive 5-9, 189 pound running back who committed in January. Black earned second team All-District honors. Malik Crossdale from the Bronx, New York attended Army's summer camp last year and committed. Crossdale (5-11, 190) started his senior year for Fordham Prep off with a 208 rushing yard and three touchdown performance but later missed a number of games with an injury. He did return near the end of his senior season. Crossdale ran for 1,099 yards and nine touchdowns as a junior. Malik isn't a burner but has good run skills and performed well at combines. He was ranked by NUC sports recruiting service as the 9th best player in New York. Crossdale chose Army over offers from Boston College and Bucknell. Christian Drake is a quick Georgia running back that Jeff Monken was initially recruiting to Georgia Southern before being hired. Drake (5-9, 171) played both running back and defensive back for Pelham high school. Pelham rotated their backs last year. Drake carried the ball for just 338 yards but averaged nearly six yards per carry and scored five touchdowns.
Nick Shiver is a running back from Mount Pleasant, S.C. The 5-foot 11-inch running back was a two year starter playing both running and defensive back. He had a huge senior season running for over 1,500 yards. Bayle Wolf (6-1, 200) from Ohio was a two-way starter at running back and linebacker for two time state champion Clinton-Massie. Wolf was named Ohio's Division IV player of the year last season. He ran for for 5,473 rushing yards and 102 touchdowns in his high school career. Jake Payton is a 5-9, 190 pound running back from Bonita high school in California who will join the program. Last season Payton ran for 1,291 rushing yards and scored 18 touchdowns. He had 19 receptions for 238 yards and two more scores. Payton earned first-team All-Hacienda League honors. He chose Army over Air Force.
