Army Recruiting Crop 2014: Wide Receivers

National Signing Day has come and gone. At this point Army has about 60 "signees". will now review all the known future Black Knights. In this segment we introduce the wide receivers.

At wide receiver Luke Peterman as the first wide receiver to commit. Peterman (6-4, 195) is a big possession receiver. As a senior for Vandegrift high school in Texas he made 37 receptions for 791 yards, a 20.8 average and 10 touchdowns.

Wide receiver Shafer Swann (6-2, 195) from Central Catholic in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania is the son of NFL legend Lynn Swann. Shafer played in a run base offense that rarely threw the ball. Still, Swann demonstrated big play ability with eleven receptions for 353 yards, an amazing 31.1 average and four touchdowns.

Jamal Tookes (6-4, 195) is a Georgia product recruited from a wining Eagles Landing Christian Academy program that has produced a few Army prospects in recent years.

Jalen Sharp (6-1, 175) was a two way recruit from Texas who served as team captain while playing both receiver and cornerback. He was twice named to the All-Conference team. Sharp led the Greenhill high school last year with 31 catches for 516 yards and seven touchdowns. He finished his career at Greenhill with 75 catches for 908 yards and 14 touchdowns. Malik Sanders is a tall 6-foot-5, 195 pound wide receiver with average speed from Harlan high school in Chicago. Sanders earned Academic All-State honors.
