“I have visits set up with Oklahoma, Arizona State, Washington, Maryland and Kansas State,” Reynolds noted. “I’m visiting Oklahoma when they play Oklahoma State (12/6). I am visiting ASU on January 17th. They’re my last visit.
“I will be visiting Washington on December 12th, after my season is over. I am visiting Maryland when they play West Virginia which is the third weekend of the season (9/13) and Kansas State is for their game when they play Auburn.”
Reynolds had previously scheduled visits to California and Tennessee as well, but, as of now, those will not happen.
With his size, his athleticism and his tenacity, Reynolds can play almost anywhere along the line, depending on the scheme, and his head coach, Alonzo Carter, said recently that he feels his player is only starting to tap his full potential.
"He played mainly the nose for us, but he can play anywhere," Contra Costa head coach Alonzo Carter told JCFootball.com this spring. "He can play the three (technique) or even as a five (technique) where he's over the tackle in a 3-4.
"He's really strong and he's getting stronger. He's also got that speed and quickness you just don't see in a guy his size. He can stop the run or get after the quarterback. Whatever you need him to do, he can do it. He's a talented guy."
As far as what he's working on this offseason, Reynolds said that he wants to get better in two phases of his game.
"I have a quick first step already, but I think it can be quicker, so I am doing a log of speed and footwork drills," Reynolds noted. "I've also been focused on my technique, staying low off the snap, stuff like that, so that I can keep improving."
Reynolds not only is getting it done on the football field; he's also been hard at work in the classroom as well and he will finish up his two year degree next May with three years to play two following the 2014 football season.
