The 6-foot, 220-pound running back committed to the Black Knights on August 4th, 2014 to his recruiter Bob Bodine and head coach Jeff Monken.

"I loved the academics at West Point. It's big-time college football, and I wanted to present a good challenge to myself by going into the military. My dad played (at West Point) so I've always been interested in the program and possibly going to the Academy. The staff just made me more comfortable with my decision. I really liked them."

Slomka chose Army over offers from Georgetown and Morehead State.

"The coaches have never really specified what they'd like me to play when I get there. They asked me what I'd like to do. Right now, I'm not sure. I like playing running back, but I like linebacker too."

As a senior, Slomka was named first team All-Conference, first team All-State, Fabulous 22, Terrific 25. He is the son of Kristen and Jim Slomka, and would like to recognize his uncle, Marc Pasquinelli, his uncle, and his grandparents, John and Pat Pasquinelli. He will likely begin at USMAPS.
