ARMY WEST POINT
In his first start plebe cornerback Brandon Jackson made 6 tackles, picked off two passes and knocked down a pass. Jackson showed his athleticism on his first interception as he returned the ball 45-yards to set up a touchdown. Jackson's second interception was even a more impressive play on a ball to end another fourth quarter drive.
Reynolds had a huge game with 24 carries for 142 rushing yards and five touchdowns. Reynolds also completed 4-of-7 passes for 41 yards. In his first league game his five rushing touchdowns set the American Athletic Conference record. Reynolds has scored 70 career rushing touchdowns and is just seven away from the all time NCAA TD rushing record.
Ladipo led the Falcons in tackles with 7 1/2 in Air Force's 35-21 loss at Michigan State. He also broke up two passes and had 1 1/2 tackles for losses.
ARMY: LB Andrew King
, led the Black Knights with eight tackles and one tackle for a loss; LB Jeremy Timpf
, five tackles and had a interception. His 17-yard interception return from deep in his own end stopped a drive and set up a Army touchdown.
NAVY: DE Will Anthony, five tackles, 1/1/2 TFL, a sack, knocked down a pass and recovered a fumble. Anthony had a sack for a nine yard loss to force a long missed field goal. Entire Navy offensive line, Its not fair to highlight one player because this was a great team effort by the offensive line. Navy rushed for 415 yards , scored 6 touchdowns and averaged 5.5 per carry. They allowed no sacks.
AIR FORCE: QB Karson Roberts
, filling in for the injured starter, completed 6-of-9 passes for 149 yards, a touchdown. Ran for 44 yards on 10 carries.
