Scout.com Academy Players of the Week

Army, Navy and Air Force were all in action this week with Navy and Air Force winning while Army lost another close one. Here are your Scout.com Academy Players of the Week along with other notable performers.

ARMY PLAYER OF THE WEEK

RB John Trainor

Trainor caught three passes for 81 yards. In the second quarter Trainor caught a 19-yard scoring reception from Ahmad Bradshaw to narrow Tulane's lead to 28-14 and start the Army rally. 

NAVY PLAYER OF THE WEEK

QB Keenan Reynolds

Reynolds ran the ball 14 times for 137 yards and four touchdowns.  His first touchdown run tied the NCAA record for career rushing touchdowns scored, previously held by Montee Ball who played at Wisconsin, at 78. Reynolds scored on runs of 4, 43, 8, and 32 yard. He also passed for a touchdown. With his four rushing scores, the new NCAA record for rushing TDs scored is 81.   

AIR FORCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

WR Jalen  Robinette 

Robinette had seven receptions for 210 yards and a touchdown in the Falcon's win over Utah State.  In the third quarter Robinette was able to make a 74-yard scoring reception despite interference from a defender.

OTHER NOTABLE ACADEMY PERFORMERS

ARMY

LB Andrew King: Seven tackles including one for a loss. 

LB Andy Davidson: Blocked a Tulane punt which was returned for an Army touchdown.  

NAVY

FB Chris Swain: Swain had 16 rushes for 73 yards.

LB Daiquan Thomasson: Had an  interception and two tackles. 

DE Amos Mason: Six tackles, a sack and a pass break up. 

AIR FORCE

QB Karson Roberts: Completed 11-of-17 passes for 271 yards and a touchdown. Also rushed for 55 yards. 

DB Weston Steelhammer: Had six tackles and an interception.  Knocked down a possible game winner for Utah State on fourth down with 17 seconds remaining in the game.
