Army offers Kentucky OT Hunter Ziegelmeyer

Jeff Monken and his staff are always looking to improve on the Black Knight's size and athleticism. On Monday Army West Point football made another step in improving those traits when they offer 6-foot-6, 270 pound Hunter Ziegelmeyer.

Hunter Ziegelmeyer an outstanding OT/TE from Covington Catholic High School in Lake City, Ky., added his fourth offer on Monday when Army West Point pulled the trigger.

Ziegelmeyer, an impressive student, has a sparkling 3.96 grade point average.

Ziegelmeyer announced the offer via a tweet in which he stated, "Very blessed to receive an offer from Army West Point."  An all-around athlete, Ziegelmeyer also stars on the Covington Catholic basketball team.

The massive Kentuckian also plays tight end. In addition to Army he has offers from Eastern Kentucky, Morehead State and  Western Illinois.  That list is almost certain to grow over the next few months.

Ziegelmeyer says he plans on visiting West Point sometime in the next few weeks. Top Stories
