Elijah Boyd: I play strong safety and return punts.
AS: What position did Army recruit you to play?
AS: What is your height, weight and 40 speed?
EB: 6'2, 173 pounds and 4.60 laser timed.
AS: What are some things you feel makes you a great player?
EB: My awareness on the field and the amount of film study I do, getting to know my opponents tendencies well.
AS: What were some of your stats from your junior year?
EB: 62 tackles 1 interceptions and 4 pass break-ups.
AS: Describe one big play you made during your junior season that really helped your team.
EB: The big hit I had in the fourth quarter of The Colony game on second down. That focused us up for the rest of the game to pull out a win in our first big district game.
AS: Which coach recruited you for Army?
EB: Coach [Kevin] Corless.
AS: What other schools were interested in you?
EB: Holy Cross, University of Cincinnati and SMU.
AS: What schools have offered other than Army?
EB: Holy Cross is the only other school that offered.
AS: How are you doing in the classroom?
EB: I do well in the classroom with all A's and B's.
AS: Will you be a direct admit or go to the prep school?
EB: I will be attending the prep school.
AS: Do you play any other sports?
EB: I played baseball on varsity this past year but I'll just be running track my senior year in the spring.
AS: What were some of the things that attracted you to Army?
EB: The fact that it's unlike any other college in the nation because you get challenged every day you're there whether it's in the classroom or on the field which will only make me a better man which is what I want. Also, I've always wanted to serve my country and this gives me the opportunity to.
