South Florida 28 Army 0

Army fell to South Florida 28-0 on a rainy day at Michie Stadium as the Black Knights hosted the South Florida Bulls. It was the first meeting on the football field between the two Conference-USA schools. A stingy Bull defense held Army to just 17 yards rushing and 159 passing.

In a boring, scoreless first quarter, neither team could get much going on the offensive side of the ball.

South Florida drew first blood when Santi Gramatica booted a 26-yard field goal to put the Bulls up 3-0 over Army.

South Florida's Johnnie Jones recovered a fumble by Army's Brandon Shode. The Army miscue setup another Gamatica field goal, this time from 32-yards out.

A DeJuan Green ran 2-yard touchdown run put the Bull's up 13-0 at the half. Army held Green to just 10 yards in 5 carries.

South Florida's efficient passing game helped them drive down the field and score on a 3-yard run by Clento Crossley. The two point conversion which was successful with a pass to Elgin Hicks to put the Bulls up 21-0 over Army. Crossley went on to rush for 65 yards on 13 carries for the Bulls.

Matt Silva replaced Zac Dahman and on his first play he threw a interception which was returned for a touchdown by the Bulls' Pat Julmiste. The 29-yard return made the final score 28-0.

Army falls to 0-4. The Black Knights travel to Texas Christian University next Saturday.

South Florida improves to 2-1. The Bulls host Louisville next. Top Stories
