Charlotte Fullback to Visit West Point

New Army Coach Bobby Ross has wasted no time in contacting some of the top prospects in the country. This super prospect averaged almost 10 yards a carry as a junior.

"I really like Duke a lot," said Charlotte Lain High standout Mark Paschal. "Seeing Ryan [Radloff] commit certainly moves them up my list that much more."

Paschal, a 6-foot-2, 228 pound fullback and linebacker, says he's in no rush to commit at this point, but does want to wind down the recruiting process before he begins fall practice with Latin.

"Right now I don't have any favorites, but I hope to have a decision by August 1. That way I can just focus on the team and focus on football and not have to worry about myself."

At this point Paschal holds offers from Duke, Marshall, Northwestern, UCLA, Army, and Vanderbilt. He also plans to camp at each of those programs' camps this summer before making a decision.

"I am planning on [unofficially] visiting all the schools that have offered me scholarships this summer just to look at the schools," stated Paschal. "I just want to walk around and see the campus and meet the coaching staff and get to know them better."

In addition to his unofficial trips tour, Paschal plans to camp at Virginia Tech, North Carolina, Georgia, and Clemson.

During his junior year, Paschal earned All-State honors while also leading the Hawks to an 11-2 record and a NCISAA State Championship.

On the ground he muscled his way to 1,397 yards and 26 touchdowns on only 147 attempts (9.5 yards per carry). Additionally, Paschal pulled in six receptions for 97 yards and another score.

When it comes to his decision, he doesn't believe location will be a factor. Instead Paschal will be looking for the typical combination of fit and feel.

"I want to go somewhere that I can get on the field early, and somewhere that I would feel comfortable with even if I wasn't playing football. I also want to feel comfortable with the coaching staff."
