Lemming, who was named the Most Outstanding Offensive Lineman at the Navy summer football camp, bench-presses 335 pounds and squats 450. He possesses good speed for a player his size as indicated by his 5.2 forty time. Lemming earned All-District honors and was named team Captain as a senior.
"I have wanted to be a military officer my whole life. I was attracted to the leadership training, discipline, and the educational benefits of West Point," said the talented lineman.
In addition to the Army staff, Navy, Lehigh and Holy Cross also recruited and offered Lemming.
The Texas native visited West Point twice during 2004. "I enjoyed my time there and look forward to reporting in June, " said Lemming.
Lemming excelled off the field as well. Lemming served as the senior class President and earned the coveted Eagle Scout award. Lemming was a Finalist for the Bush Kiwanis Sports Hero Award, which is awarded to the most outstanding student athlete in the Houston, Texas area.
Lemming's brother, Ben, is a current freshmen offensive lineman at the University of North Carolina.
