Army eyes Alabama star

Charlie Higgenbotham, from Mountain Brook High School, is holding one offer. Alabama has offered the top Spartan performer, and a commitment is on the horizon. Army has this talented prep star in their sights.

"Alabama is still my favorite school right now. I want to make a commitment before the season starts. I am not sure if I will do it before summer camps or not," said Charlie Higgenbotham.

The Spartan linebacker has visited a two other schools, and the recruiting interest is building.

"I went on an unofficial visit to Clemson and to Louisville. Ole Miss, Mississippi State, and Georgia Tech are all showing a lot of interest in me right now."

One coach has visited Mountain Brook since the beginning of spring training, but several college coaches are expected this weekend.

"A coach from Army was here the other day. A lot of coaches are coming to the combine at Mountain Brook this weekend. I have been staying in contact with Coach Harbison at Alabama. I talked to him the other day," said Higgenbotham.

Higgenbotham thinks he will attend a few summer camps. For now, Alabama is the only camp set in stone. Top Stories
