This season expect the sound of thunderous hits to fill the air wherever the Kettle Moraine hits the field. Kettle Moraine returns 15 starters from a team that finished 5-4 last year and narrowly missed the playoffs.
Headlining those 15 starters will be LB/RB Jared Hassin. Hassin was Kettle Moraine's leading tackler as a junior garnering 48 tackles. "I'm not afraid to hit people," said Hassin. He didn't just hit, he hit hard, netting 7 tackles for losses and causing 4 forced fumbles. He also possesses great speed (4.68 forty time) as he broke up two passes and scored 2 safeties for his team.
Hassin excelled on the offensive side of the ball too rushing for 360 yards on in just 47 carries as a running back. After the season Hassin was honored for his exploits by being named to the Classic 8 All-Conference team.
An all around athlete, Hassin is not just a star on the football field, he exelled at wrestling and track. Hassin won the 215-pound wrestling championship for his conference and was a qualifier for the regional and sectional tournaments. As a track squad member, Hassin won the district discuss championship and threw the shot put an impressive 53'6''.
Army: "Army's my number one choice for sure," said Hassin. "I love it. It's been my dream to play there since I was a little kid," continued the star linebacker. Hassin has already visited West Point three times and is anxiously awaiting an offer.
Vanderbilt: Hassin has heard from Vanderbilt several times and has been invited to attend their football camps. He'd like to learn more about Vandy.
Navy: "I got a summer invitation to the Naval Academy summer camp," said Hassin and he is considering attending.
Penn: "They are my second choice after Army," said Hassin.
Although Hassin is still awaiting an offer we think it won't be long before an offer is on the table for this fine player. Stay tuned to Scout.com for more on Jared Hassin.
