2007 Army look ahead: Wake Forest

Football season will be here before you know it. ArmySports.com is taking a look at all the 12 Army opponents for the 2007 season. Today we will focus on the Wake Forest Demon Deacons.

No respect.

That was Wake Forest's mantra last season and, by the end of the year, the Demon Deacons had plenty of respect.

Wake Forest won a school-record 11 games and won its first Atlantic Coast Conference title since 1970. The Demon Deacons lost to Louisville in the Orange Bowl. That game served as Wake Forest's biggest bowl game since the Gator Bowl in 1946.

With 16 starters back, including key players such as quarterback Riley Skinner, center Steve Justice, kicker Sam Swank and linebacker Aaron Curry, the Demon Deacons again should have a chance against anyone on their schedule. Army visits Wake Forest in its third game of the season. Expect the Black Knights to be big underdogs. Here is what to expect from Wake Forest.
