Army Opponent Gets Ranked

Army better not overlook this year's Division I-AA opponent New Hampshire. The perennial I-AA national power is ranked in the top 25 of three polls.

Lindy's 2008 College Football Preview has New Hampshire ranked 10th, the Wildcats are ranked 20th in the Any Given poll and No. 23 by the College Preview by Sporting News rankings. New Hampshire has been ranked in the top 25 polls since the beginning of the 2004 season.

New Hampshire, which has qualified for the NCAA Division I-AA playoffs the last four years, finished 7-5 last season. The Wildcats are 42-21 over the last five years. Army defeated Rhode Island, a much lesser I-AA opponent, 14-7 last season. The Black Knights trailed 7-0 at halftime. Rhode Island finished 3-8 last year. Army and New Hampshire meet on Sept. 6 at Michie Stadium. Top Stories
