Signs for Army

As reported in the ArmySports.com members only forum several days ago, Zach Williams has committed to Army.

According to Melissa high school athletic director HaRon Williams, "Zach Williams has signed the certificate and is in the system to go play Army football." The athetic director also mentioned that Williams would have a signing ceremony today (Wednesday) at 3 pm in the high school cafeteria.

Williams is an oustanding signal caller who, as a senior, passed for 2,505 yards and 24 touchdowns with only 5 interceptions. He also ran 142 times for 1,099 yards and 19 touchdowns.

Williams was selected District MVP, All-Area and honorable mention all-state.

The Texas prep star also had offers from Air Force and Southeastern (OK) and interest from North Texas and Tulsa.

Zach will enter the United States Military Academy prep school this summer.
