Army hung close to the first place Mountain Hawks until midway through
first half. Army weathered a quick start by Lehigh to pull within
midway through the first period and then Lehigh went on a run that
effectively put the game away. Lehigh had an unanswered scoring spurt
points in building a 16 point lead at halftime, 39-23.
The second half would get no better for the Black Knights as Lehigh
its halftime advantage and was up by 28 pts with around 11:00 minutes
, as usual, showed no quit and whittled away at the Hawks
finally getting it down to eleven with a chance to cut it to eight, but
Smith's three went in and out and Lehigh brought in its first string to
the game away. Andrew Pawling
played an excellent game with 16 points
5-10 shooting in only 20 minutes of court time.
Army was once again done in by atrocious shooting and long scoring
This team shows heart and hustle in never quitting but it is too talent
challenged offensively to overcome mental breakdowns on offense. Coach
Crews was very disappointed in the team's execution of the offense and
the team needed to get more detail oriented and pick up its intensity
