Army pulls out a thrilling victory in overtime over an SEC opponent.

OFFENSIVE STAR OF THE GAME

C No. 57 Zach Peterson

Peterson was center for an offense that ran for 222 yards on a pretty good Vanderbilt defense. He not only snapped the ball to Trent Steelman when Steelman scored that incredible 2-yard run but he was also in the thick of blocking for Steelman on that play.

DEFENSIVE STAR OF THE GAME

LB No. 42 Andrew Rodriguez

This is Rodriguez' second time being honored as a the ArmySports.com Army Defensive Player of the Week. We try to spread this award around but Rodriguez led the team in tackles with 13 and also made a game saving forced fumble on Vanderbilt tailback Warren Norman. Without that fumble Army might be looking at a 2-4 record and their bowl hopes dimmed.

UNSUNG HERO OF THE GAME

DE No. 55 Brad Marren

Brad Marren didn't show up in the final stats but he played a big factor in Army's win. He continually put pressure on Vanderbilt quarterback Larry Smith throughout the game and helped cause at least one interception when he hit Smith's hand as he released his pass.
