The Army Black Knights fell to Rutgers, 27-10, on Friday. Each week ArmySports.com honors an offensive, defensive, and unsung hero of the game. Look inside to see who gets the honors this
Turnovers doom Army upset bid.
OFFENSIVE STAR OF THE GAME
Brown didn't have a spectacular night but his speed was a weapon for the Black Knights versus the tough Rutgers defense. He had four rushes for 29 yards, that's a 7.2 yard per carry
average. He also had Army's only reception of the game for positive yardage, a 21-yard catch in the first quarter on a drive that eventually gave Army an early 3-0 lead over the Scarlet
DEFENSIVE STAR OF THE GAME
Aaron's talent, speed and athleticism gives Army a presence in the defensive secondary that they have missed at times during past seasons. Aaron finished with six tackles and had a pass
breakup on the night. He was all over the field defensively and helped Army to keep the Rutgers offense in check most of the time. He had a big hit on third down in the first quarter that
forced the Scarlet Knights to attempt a field goal.
UNSUNG HERO OF THE GAME
Liggins didn't play too much but the plebe made it count when he was in the game. His 17-yard scoring run in the third quarter pulled Army to within a touchdown of the Scarlet Knights. It was his only carry of the game but we think that you'll be seeing more and more of Liggins' running over the next three years.
