Interview: Tielor Robinson

We caught up with Tielor this evening (LOI Day) talked with him about his decision to join the Black Knights of Army.

Tielor Robinson RB, (6-0, 210), Greenwich HS (Greenwich, Conn)

ArmySports.com: First of all, how did your signing ceremony go today?
Tielor Robinson: It went very well.

ArmySports.com: Did you and John Sullivan, who is Notre Dame bound share in the same signing ceremony?
Tielor Robinson: We signed together. My uncle and aunt were there and the newspaper, radio guy, AD and our head coach were there as well. They took pictures of us signing and shaking hands.

ArmySports.com: We saw highlights of you on the MSG Network, when you were selected to the Tri-State All Heisman Team. What was it like being in the atmosphere and meeting with Heisman winner, Carlson Palmer of USC?
Tielor Robinson: It was great. Just being in the same room with all those great players and the Heisman Trophy winner, as well as the other players like Archie Griffin.

ArmySports.com: I need to tell fans that when I saw you on tape, your physical make-up reminded me of former Houston Oiler Earl Campbell, especially your thighs and lower body. What is your actual size and speed?
Tielor Robinson: I'm 6-0, 210 and my 40 time consistently 4.5.

ArmySports.com: Do you know who Earl Campbell is?
Tielor Robinson: No (we both laugh)

ArmySports.com: What can the Army fans anticipate from you as a player?
Tielor Robinson: I'm a hard working guy and give it all I have on the football field.

ArmySports.com: Have you followed the recruiting of other players to Army?
Tielor Robinson: A little bit. I met some of the players on my official visit and got along well with them.

ArmySports.com: Talk about your recruiting decision?
Tielor Robinson: It is such a great school and a degree from there speaks for itself.
I really liked the coaches, player and the facilities.

ArmySports.com: Congratulations on your decision to attend West Point and join the Black Knights.
Tielor Robinson: Thank you very much
