ArmySports.com: What was the best part of the recruiting process?
John Wright: My official to Army, that was awesome and all my hard work paid off.

ArmySports.com: Which coach recruited you?
John Wright: Partly Coach Therrell, but mainly Coach Jordan

ArmySports.com: What was the most significant factor that led you to pick Army?
John Wright: Definitely the education and the degree from West Point… I couldn't pass up an opportunity to get into one of the best schools in America and I like the military

ArmySports.com: What other schools were you hearing from and did you have any other offers?
John Wright: I was hearing from Louisville and UAB. UAB offered me an official visit, but I told them that I was looking at the Academies

ArmySports.com: What position are you being projected to play?
John Wright: Defensive Tackle.

ArmySports.com: Your high school coach has described you as player "whose motor never stops running". How do you describe yourself as a player and your playing style?

John Wright: I'm presently at 6-3, 275.

ArmySports.com: I know the fans at Army will be excited about watching you play this upcoming season. Congratulations on your decision to attend West Point and join the Black Knights of Army.
