Texas star opts for Army

Army recently picked up another commit. The Black Knights staff now have well over 20 commits. Fournet's commit brings a special significance to the Army nation. Look inside to find out why the Beaumont, Texas (Kelly HS) product is special.

You see, Colin Fournet not only opted for West Point, but he turned down Army's rival, not Air Force but Navy. Yes, Navy! Someone has chosen Army over Navy and there are likely more to come.

The real kicker is that Fournet is a pretty darn good football player and one that the Mids coveted dearly. Fournet attended a Navy football camp in late June and raised the eyebrows of the Mids' staff. In fact, he was named the camp's "outstanding outside linebacker".

Fournet played multiple positions for Kelly high school including linebacker, fullback and defensive line positions. He had 54 tackles with 7 sacks and 3 forced fumbles as a a senior. He also had 14 quarterback pressures and 15 tackles for a losses. Fournet is an all around athlete and holds two high school state records in weight lifting and is a standout sprinter in track.
