Army Recruiting Targets: Offense

Recruiting is heating up and Army must find capable players at several positions especially on the offensive line and at the slot back positions. Look inside to find out about some of the players the Army staff is recruiting.

Remarks: Not a serious concern since Steelman is just a sophomore and established but need one or two in the pipeline.

Trey Fetner - Rushed for 600 and passed for 1,600 as a junior.
Daniel Lewis - Strong student.  Completed 63 percent of passes as junior.

Remarks: Both Patrick Mealy and Jameson Carter will be graduating following the 2010 season so it makes sense to nab a couple of slot backs.  More offers should be forthcoming.

Jovonte Slater (offer) - Had TWO 99-yard kickoff returns. Navy also after him.
Ronnie Green - Only 5-foot-9 but has breakaway speed.
DeAndre Jones - Has good recieving skills too.
Jarrell Knighton - 1,085 yards rushing as a junior.
Zach Thompson - Good size and decent speed. Also can catch the ball.

Remarks: Surely Rich Ellerson and staff are looking for another 6-foot-10 receiver.  Really, in order to be successful this staff needs more talent at the receiver position.

Dallas Burroughs (offer) - 48 catches as a junior.
Parrish Gaines - Nice size (6-3, 185) for a receiver.
DeAndre Scott - 11 catches for 225 yards and 3 scores as a junior. Had 7 interceptions on defense.
Garrett Rice - Great hands and decent speed.
Marcoreyon Tandy - 4.4 speed and 59 career receptions.
Dylan Cox - Had 16 catches in an offense that primarily runs.
Evan Peterson - Caught an impressive 90 catches for over 1,500 yards and 19 touchdowns during his junior season.
Nicholas Short - Tight end (6-2, 220) with good speed who may end up on the Army offensive line someday.

Remarks: Army will lose 3-of-5 offensive linemen following the upcoming season. You can never have too many with all the twisted ankles they get.

Brett Darragh - 6-3, 265
Galyn Graham - 6-3, 257
Will O'Keefe - 6-3, 270.  Benches 325, squats 450.
Brennan Bowen - 6-0, 280 fire plug. Plays center. Top Stories
