Interview II: Tielor Robinson

We caught up with Running Back prospect and Black Knight commit, Tielor Robinson. After seeing the 6-0,210 power back (4.57 40) on film, I can only conclude that the Army coaches are excited with anticipation of Tielor sporting the Black, Gold & Gray uniform of Army. Here's our second installment of conversations with Tielor, as we continue to look at Army's class of 2003.

Tielor Robinson
RB, 6'0" 210
Greenwich HS (Greenwich, Conn) What have you been doing since the last time we chatted?

Tielor Robinson: Working out doing the Army program they sent me. It‘s very tough. Are you running track?

Tielor Robinson: Yes sir, I'm also running track and I run the 100, 200 and relays (4x100). My best time is a 11.2 split." This year's recruiting class appears to be very strong. How does it feel to be a part of it and what are your expectations for the future?

Tielor Robinson: It feels really great. I have been looking online and following the other recruits. Some of the guys that were with me on my official visit and they are great group of guys. I will be working hard to get some playing time as a freshman. Talk a little about that offense at Army and where the coaches have talked to you about fitting in at.

Tielor Robinson: Army runs the one back offense and they want to be able to have someone who not only can run between the tackles, but also take it outside, as well as catch the ball out of the backfield. I really love that offense and fits into my style of running." Are you looking to making a mark right away as a freshman?

Tielor Robinson: I told my uncle that I have never sat on the bench in my football career and so I'm going to work very hard not to do so now and try to get some playing time as a freshman. What are your plans for the summer, although somewhat abbreviated?

Tielor Robinson: Going to North Carolina for a few days, and continue to workout, then head up to West Point afterwards. Who do you think would star in a movie about your life?

Tielor Robinson: I would probably say Denzel Washington. When we first spoke, you weighed 210… what is your present weight and where do you see yourself coming

Tielor Robinson: I'm now at 214, I just weighed myself yesterday. I want to come in at about 220." What do you want tacklers to think and/or feel after they have attempted to stop you?

Tielor Robinson: That they don't want to tackle me anymore and the next time they will be thinking about it. What CD is in your CD player right now? Tielor Robinson: You would probably find "Boyz II Men." If you could have dinner with any three historical figures who would they be?

Tielor Robinson: Martin Luther King, George Washington & Mother Teresa. Top Stories
