Report: URI Star Arrested

According to a report by the Providence Journal, Rhode Island forward Jonathan Holton has been arrested and suspended from the URI team for sexual encounters and voyeurism.

According to a report in the Providence Journal, URI star Jonathan Holton has been arrested for voyeurism based on multiple sexual encounters.

This is coming on the heels of a tumultuous season in Kingston, R.I., in which the team suffered through several suspensions.

According to the article, Thomas R. Dougan, URI vice president for Student Affairs, was quoted in a school release as saying "these are disturbing allegations that strike at the core of our commitment to make this a safe and civil campus community. Respect for the rights and privacy of all of our community members is paramount. Campus police and Student Affairs are involved in separate intensive investigations surrounding these allegations."

Holton is looking at up to three years in jail and a $5,000 fine for his actions.
