Talented seven-foot-one high schoolers don't come around very often, so when they do, colleges take immediate notice.
Isaac Freeman, a center from South Kent Prep, fits that description to a "T".
"Things are going pretty good," Freeman told A10Report.com. "My game has been up to par. I'm learning a lot from Coach [Kevin] Jefferson. He's taught me new pump fakes and moves, and my 15-footer has been on-point."
Freeman lists offers from UMass, Missouri, Drexel, and Central Florida, with additional interest from Central Michigan, and Vanderbilt.
"UMass is trying to get me up for a visit," Freeman said. "They want me real bad. Missouri wants me. I'm going to try to set up some visits here pretty soon."
He's already taken unofficials to UMass and Drexel, and has been keeping a close eye on how each team is doing in the NCAA Tournament and NIT.
Freeman continues to work hard to put muscle on and improve his game, but insists that there is no timetable for a decision.
"I'm going to be playing AAU until I sign," Freeman said, who runs with Virginia Assault on the circuit.
He needs another credit hour and already has a qualifying score on his SAT. He noted, however, that if Vanderbilt were to offer, he would need to improve his academic standing.
This could be a very interesting recruitment to monitor in the next few months.
"I'm just excited to show what I can do over the next two months," Freeman said. "It's going to be a lot of fun."
