Gary Clark, a six-foot-seven forward from North Carolina put on quite a show in Pittsburgh during the first weekend of the open period.
Wright State, South Carolina, Virginia Commonwealth, Wake Forest, East Carolina, and Charlotte are among those tracking the talented sophomore's progress.
At 200 pounds and with above-average height, Clark showcases a plethora of abilities.
"I love it when we play AAU because I get to go out on the perimeter a lot more," Clark told Scout.com. "I feel like if I can play with a guy that I can get the ball to him and he can score as well as me, then I have a lot more fun distributing."
He'll get ample time this April and summer to work on his face-up game.
"My ballhandling," Clark said of what he needs to work on. "Coming from being a big man to more of a four now, where I can put it on the ground. I've been working on my free-throw shooting and getting to the basket a lot."
With VCU's head man Shaka Smart tracking him closely, their not the only mid-major in the hunt. The Charlotte 49ers have also made a strong run at him early. He received a visit from Charlotte recently and we'll continue to see where his progress goes this summer.
