Douse Taking Visits, Readying For Summer

2013 point guard Kiefer Douse visited St. Bonaventure today and has interest from another Atlantic 10 program.

Lee Academy point guard Kiefer Douse spent this spring traveling around the country like many other hopeful high school ballers.

The six-foot-three lead guard said that the circuit was a "great learning experience" as he was with Houston Franchize.

"Vegas was a big stepping stone for us because we learned a lot and expect to make a much bigger impact in late July at the [Super] 64," Douse said. "It was hard mainly because we didn't have as much practice time to gel together as we would have liked, but having played together all spring I feel we are ready to rumble."

Douse lists a number of mid and high major schools as showing interest, and he took an unofficial visit to St. Bonaventure today.

St. Joseph's is also tracking his progress and he will be taking other visits to Wichita State, Creighton, Arkansas State, and Texas Tech in the near future.

What's his game like?

"I'm a big point that loves to pass the ball first but I love to get out on the break and finish above the rim," Douse said.

He's very much excited for the live recruiting period to come next month.

"It's going to be a lot of basketball," Douse said. "I'm looking forward to the competition coming my way, it's a great chance for me to go at the top guys in my class and really make my name blossom going into my final year at Lee."

While he has no current timetable, it seems as though he will definitely be making a calculated move when the time is right.
