"It was good to get back up to Auburn and see everything again and the whole visit was a lot of fun," the Jacksonville Christian Academy standout tells Inside the Auburn Tigers.
The prospect says he enjoyed the game day atmosphere as Auburn defeated Clemson 27-24 in a contest the AU Tigers rallied from 17 points down to win.
Christian made the trip to Auburn with his teammate, running back Andrew Buie, another prospect who is getting a lot of recruiting attention from colleges.
"Andrew is having a good season and he enjoyed the trip, too," says Christian, who notes that he is off to a good start personally, but his team is off to a surprising 1-2 record. "We are not used to losing, but we are going to get it back on track," he says.
"I feel like I am playing really well," says Christian, who was a second team All-State selection as a junior when Jacksonville Christian reached the state finals. "Last week I moved between cornerback and safety depending on whether it was a running or passing situation. I made 22 tackles on defense and rushed for more than 100 yards on offense."
Christian, who says he is 5-10, 190 pounds, made a stop in Auburn as part of a tour of six colleges in June to get a feel for the campus. He determined then that Auburn could be a good fit for him and wanted to come back to see a game.
"I think I will be back for the LSU at Auburn game," he says, noting that he talked to Auburn head coach Gene Chizik and cornerback coach Phillip Lolley on his visit to Auburn this past weekend. "We talked about me coming to Auburn for an official visit and coming to watch some more games."
