A frequent visitor to Auburn, Wright has been to games this fall in Jordan-Hare Stadium. On Tuesday evening he got to experience what the number two team in the nation does in practices, something he says was a very good thing for him.
"It was kind of random," Wright tells Inside The Auburn Tigers of his visit. "My coach called me and told me he was coming over. He already knew I was going to be down with that decision.
"I have been to Auburn about 20 times," he adds. "Nothing really changes on my visits. If anything it's just a chance to learn even more about them. That's another plus is Auburn only being 45 minutes away. I get to see practice and see Coach (Tracy) Rocker interact and how the coaches get along with the players."
With Auburn as his leader and Tennessee following up behind the Tigers, Wright has been strong on mainly those two teams for quite a while. Georgia isn't out of the picture yet though along with Clemson and also Alabama and Wright notes that for him it's just going to come down to comfort level.
"It helps a lot," he says of getting comfortable with a school. "That comes with any team, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee. I'm real comfortable with them and have spent time with the players. Definitely Auburn is where I'm most comfortable.
"It's getting to that time where I've done most of my recruiting," Wright says of how things are progressing. "It's getting time for me to narrow things down. I'm sure the Georgia visit won't change my mind. It's more about getting my mom there to a game. I've been to a game there and seen the place. She has been to a Tennessee game and an Auburn game. I'm just trying to get her to as many games as possible."
