Five-Star All In After Visit

Auburn commitment Christian Westerman talks about his unofficial visit over the weekend to see the Tigers.

Chandler, Ariz.--For Christian Westerman the last week has been a whirlwind surrounding his recruitment. Switching from Texas to the Auburn Tigers on Friday morning, he and his family took a trip to the Plains over the weekend to see the BCS National Championship Celebration as well.

Taking his official visit to Auburn during the Tigers' bowl preparation in December, Westerman said he saw a different side of Auburn on this trip and he loved it.

"It was a lot of fun getting a nice feel for how the fans really enjoy their program and how much they support that," Westerman said. "It was a lot different than last time. Last time there everybody was gone. Having everybody there made it a lot different."

Building friendships with several Auburn commitments at the Under Armour All-American Game in St. Petersburg in early January, Westerman said he enjoyed seeing those guys again while on his visit and getting to spend time with them.

"I was just hanging out with Reese Dismukes and Thomas O'Reilly and a couple of the other players, Westerman said. "Kiehl Frazier too, a lot of the new recruits."

After being committed to Texas so long and just recently becoming a part of Auburn's recruiting class it would be understandable if Westerman had some questions still about the Tigers but that's definitely not the case. He said for him the weekend only solidified things more in his mind.

"Auburn is definitely where I want to be," Westerman said. "I just have a great feel about Auburn and I'm excited to be committed to Auburn.

"War Eagle!"
