Landrum Solid To Tigers

Auburn commitment Chris Landrum talks about his official visit to check out the Tigers.

Sweet Water, Ala.--Auburn commitment Chris Landrum is no stranger to being on the Plains. A visitor multiple times throughout the last year he thought he had seen everything, that is until Saturday.

With 78,000+ fans on hand at Jordan-Hare Stadium for the BCS National Championship Celebration, Landrum got a taste of what Auburn fans are all about he said it was an unbelievable experience.

"It just tells how loyal the fans are to that place," Landrum said. "It shows how much they want to see the team succeed and how they stand behind them.

"It was just big," he added. "It's just the people showing up that. It wasn't a game and yet it's still packed. It tells a lot about Auburn and Auburn's tradition."

Hosted on his official visit by Auburn redshirt freshman linebacker Jawara White, Landrum said he enjoyed getting to spend extended time on campus and with the current players on the team. He noted that gives him a better feel for what it will be like when he's in that role next year.

"It was a lot different," Landrum said. "I got to spend more time with some of the players and recruits and see how things really go on down there. I was with Rah Rah (Jawara White). We just chilled and talked with more of the players.

"It just gave me a feel for what it would be like when I get there. All of them get along well and do everything together. They are really a family.

"Us getting along makes it much easier once we get there. If we get along now it won't be hard for us once we make the transition."

Solid to Auburn since the day he gave his verbal commitment in the library at Sweet Water, Landrum said he hasn't waivered and is just looking forward to Feb. 2 to make it official.

"Since day one when I committed it's still 100 percent."
