Four-Star Fulse Chooses Tigers

The Tigers continue their hot streak on the recruiting front with another highly-regarded prospect pledging to Auburn.

Fort Meade, Fla.--Auburn landed a commitment from another highly-regarded high school football senior when Brandon Fulse told Inside the Auburn Tigers on Thursday that he will play his college football for the Tigers. "I am going to Auburn," he said.

"I chose Auburn because I felt comfortable there and it felt like home," Fulse added. "The environment and atmosphere there is crazy. I love it."

Rated as a four-star prospect by and ranked the No. 13 tight end prospect in the country, Fulse chose Coach Gene Chizik's Tigers over a long list of colleges including Tennessee, North Carolina, Miami and Alabama.

Fulse said that his relationship and comfort level with the Auburn coaching staff was one of the main reasons he plans to sign with the Tigers on Wednesday.

The 6-5, 245-pounder caught 39 passes for 607 yards and eight touchdowns as a senior and added six quarterback sacks.

As a junior he caught 18 passes for 250 yards and two touchdowns and made 70 tackles with 10 sacks. Also that year he began attracting recruiting attention from colleges from coast to coast with a strong performance at the U.S. Army All-American Combine in San Antonio.

He took an official visit to Auburn in November and watched the Tigers defeat the Georgia Bulldogs that weekend for the team's 11th victory of the season. The Tigers won three more times after that contest on their way to capturing the BCS National Championship.

Fulse is the third player to commit to the Tigers in a little more than 24 hours. Running back Tre Mason from Park Vista High in Lake Worth, Fla., picked the Tigers on Thursday soon after defensive end Devaunte Sigler from B.C. Rain High in Mobile announced he will play college football at Auburn.

The Fort Meade High School standout won't be the only player from that high school on the Auburn roster. Onterio McCalebb, a sophomore running back for the Tigers, is from the same school.

Fulse is Auburn's 22nd commitment and the Tigers are expected to add to that total to get to at least 25 in the coming days. National signing day is on Wednesday.
