Auburn Signee A Center Of Attention

Spanish Fort standout Reese Dismukes could be a key signee for Coach Gene Chizik's Tigers.

Position/Scout Ranking: Reese Dismukes, 6-3, 285, Spanish Fort, Ala., High, four stars, ranked as the No. 5 center prospect in the country.

Auburn's Main Competition: The Tigers won a spirited in-state recruiting battle with Alabama for a prospect who had scholarship offers from many other colleges around the nation from coast to coast.

Why Auburn Signed Him: With starting center Ryan Pugh graduating, Dismukes helps fill that vacancy. An early high shooll graduate who is already enrolled in classes at Auburn, it won't be a surprise if he makes a push for playing time in spring drills.

Worth Noting: As a dominating center Dismukes helped lead his Spanish Fort High team to the 5A state championship as a senior. He was particularly impressive in the state championship game. A first team All-State selection, Dismukes performed well in the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game as well as the Under Armour All-American Game.
