"I loved my visit," the West Limestone High School standout says. "I grew up an Auburn fan so I?enjoyed it a lot."
Taylor, who says he currently checks in at 6-4, 205 pounds, says Auburn offered him a scholarship as a wide receiver a couple of weeks ago and the Tigers are the team to beat.
"I really like Auburn," he says. "Right now I am pretty much going to come to Auburn. They like me as a wide receiver."
As a junior the West Limestone High standout played both offense and defense. "I can play anything," he says. "On defense I played free safety and some colleges are recruiting me for defense. I like offense best. I am more of an offensive person."
Last fall much of his playing time on offense was as a wildcat quarterback. "I rushed for more than 1,000 yards and averaged 11.4 yards per carry,"?he says.
A three-sport athlete, Taylor plays basketball and runs track and field. Speed is one of his major attributes. "I run a 4.4 40 and have a best time of 10.4 in the 100," he says.
Academically, Taylor says he is a good student and is interested in physical therapy or some related field in college. He says that he expects to announce his college choice prior to the start of his senior year in high school. "Auburn is my leader and I am also looking at Tennessee and Alabama," he says.
On the football field he notes that he has one major goal for his senior season. "I am working on taking on more of a leadership role for my team," he says.
