Linebacker Makes Return Visit to Auburn

A football recruiting report is featured on a class of 2012 football prospect who put up big numbers as a junior.

Tallahassee, Fla.--A prospect with a nose for the football checked out Auburn's most recent junior day this past weekend and notes that he is interested in Coach Gene Chizik's Tigers.

"I had a good visit," said Kadeem Thomas, a 6-0, 230 pound linebacker and fullback at Godby High School who is hoping to get a scholarship offer from the Tigers.

A player expected to start for a third consecutive season this fall, he has already proven to be an outstanding football player in high school. In December he was named the Tallahassee Quarterback Club's Defensive Player of the Year after putting up big numbers as a junior.

"At linebacker I had 160 tackles, six interceptions, 10 forced fumbles and I led the state of Florida in tackles," Thomas says.

Thomas notes that he has scholarship offers from Louisville and Georgia Tech and is hearing from other colleges. "Right now I am talking to a lot of different schools like Ole Miss, Auburn and Alabama," he says.

Commenting on his visit to check out the national champion Tigers, he says, "I like Auburn and I had a good visit," he says. "I had been there before for another junior day and to see games. I got to see more of the campus on my latest trip."
