Loyal Still Has Tigers On Top After Visit

Running back Kenno Loyal talks about taking a visit to Auburn's A-Day game.

Decatur, Ga.--Rated a three-star prospect and the number 42 running back prospect in the country by Scout.com, Columbia High School standout Kenno Loyal made another visit to Auburn on Saturday to check out the A-Day game at Jordan-Hare Stadium.

Favoring the Tigers since early in the process, Loyal said his trip on Saturday did nothing to change his mind.

"The spring game was exciting," Loyal said. "I liked the competition out there. I really feel like I can play running back up there. I like the atmosphere at Auburn. It was pretty good.

"Right now Auburn is really where I'm most likely going to end up," he added. "It's about 90 percent. There's really no list other than them."

At 5-10, 230 with good speed and power, Loyal has the Tigers as his favorite despite offers from programs such as North Carolina State, North Carolina, Georgia Tech, Virginia, Minnesota, Oklahoma, Ole Miss and Tennessee.

"It's a good spot for me," Loyal said. "I feel like I can come in and maybe not start, but contribute to the team and help out the team. I just like the atmosphere there."

Having the opportunity to sit down and talk with coach Gene Chizik on Saturday, Loyal said it was just another chance for the two to get a better feel for each other.

"He just wants me to come up there," Loyal said of what Chizik told him. "He talked to me about the school and the experience."

Loyal said he hopes to have a final decision later in the summer or sometime during his senior season.
