Auburn Baseball With A Pair Of Midweek Games

Auburn will play a pair of games this week before traveling to face #2 South Carolina this weekend.

Auburn, Ala.--Winners of its last three SEC series and seven of its last 10 games overall, the Auburn Tigers (22-17) play a pair of midweek contests at Plainsman Park as coach John Pawlowski's team looks to continue the momentum into the weekend series at South Carolina.

Tied for the SEC Western Division lead, Auburn will take on Samford Tuesday night and Texas Southern on Wednesday. Both games are scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.

Former Tiger star Casey Dunn and the Bulldogs will come into Tuesday night's game with a 24-17 record and will face Auburn starter Andrew Morris. The Prattville native is 1-2 with a 5.62 ERA this season. He will face either junior RHP Josh Martin (2-1, 4.91) or freshman RHP C.K. Irby (3-1, 2.08).

There are no pitching match ups set for Wednesday night's contest against Texas Southern (19-21).

Tuesday is Two for Tuesday and all fans can buy one ticket and get one free. Wednesday is ALLKids Youth Night and fans 12-and-under are admitted free with a cap and glove.

Following the game against Texas Southern, which completes a six-game home stand, Auburn will travel to Columbia, S.C. to face No. 2 South Carolina. All three games of that series will be televised, with a 6pm start time on both Friday and Saturday on SportsSouth and a 2pm start time on Sunday on ESPN.
