2013 O Lineman Enjoys Auburn Visit

Dillon (SC) 2013 standout D.J. Park talks about his trip to Auburn and what he thinks about the Tigers.

Dillon, S.C.--Expected to be one of the top offensive line prospects in the South for the class of 2013, big D.J. Park and teammates Kwinton Smith and Bryce King visited Auburn on Friday and Saturday to check out the Tigers and get a feel for Coach Gene Chizik's staff.

A mountain of a prospect despite just being a junior in high school next year, the 6-5, 305-pounder said he really enjoyed having the chance to see what Auburn is all about.

"It was really good," Park tells Inside The Auburn Tigers. "I got to go around the campus and see what they are building. I got to see the school and where the students live. It was good.

"It's such a small and enclosed area," he added "Everybody is just so friendly. I just like the atmosphere."

One of the things that Park said he really enjoyed about his first trip to Auburn was having the opportunity to meet the coaching staff and talk with offensive line Coach Jeff Grimes. Park said he liked everything about them and the fact that they just won a national championship only adds to it.

"They just told me about how I could fit into the program," Park said. "They were real nice. They are down to earth people. I could see myself playing for them.

"It's really exciting," Park added. "Our high school just played for a championship. It's like going from one championship to another when you visit."

Park now has offers from Florida, Clemson, East Carolina, LSU, North Carolina State, South Carolina, and Wake Forest in addition to getting one recently from Auburn. He said he does not have any favorites at this time, but the Tigers are definitely a school he'll look at more as he continues his recruiting process.

"The expectations I had were met and exceeded," Park said. "It was better than I thought."
