AU Indoor Facility Photo Gallery: 7-7-11

Auburn's indoor and outdoor practice fields are getting closer to completion.

A shot of the indoor facility facing away from the athletic complex. Workers are busy putting in the numbers, hash marks, yardlines, etc.

Another shot of the full field.

The endzone closest to the complex. The doors open to Samford Avenue.

The AU in the center of the field is ready for installation. Workers will cut the outline into the turf, install the AU, and seal it to make a smooth surface.

Here you can see how the yard lines have been cut out of solid green turf and the while stripes will be placed into the cut outs and sealed.

A shot taken facing the athletic complex. The weight room will eventually connect to the indoor facility through those doors on the far end.

The grass is being placed on the 140-yard practice field located between the Watson Fieldhouse and the new indoor facility. The grass is similar to what has been used in recent Super Bowl games. It was grown off site and rolled onto the surface on Wednesday.

There will be turf coming off the athletic complex leading to the grass practice fields. On the left you can see the indoor facility. There will be retractable doors that open onto the outdoor fields.
