He has a great frame at 6-4 and 205 pounds. He throws a crisp spiral with a good overhead release, and he has an incredibly strong arm. Throw in the fact that he is an honor student, and Booker is one of the top quarterback prospects in the South this year.
"I'm going to try and get to some camps this summer," said Booker. "I got selected to the Governor's Honors program in Executive Business Management, and that's a six week program this summer, but there is still plenty of time to get to some camps. Some of the schools I like right now are Auburn, Louisville, Wake Forest, Florida, and Georgia Tech. They're all pretty even."
Mays High School had a shake up on the coaching staff two weeks before the first game last year. A new head coach came in, and predictably Mays' timing was a not all that it could be. Mays struggled to a 4-6 record, but the Raiders won four of their last six games, and they will be playing with that kind of continuity all season. Booker will benefit from being in the same system all year, and he has a world of potential.
Booker will be attending the Nike Camp in Auburn on May 18th, and if his performance at Georgia Tech last weekend was any indication of how he'll do at Nike, he is definitely a prospect to keep an eye on.
