Football Prospect From Georgia Interested In AU

One of the top players in the Peach State has Auburn in his top three.

Augusta, Ga.--Robert Hannah is one of the top athletes in the Augusta area, playing quarterback and defensive back for Hephzibah High School. He took over at quarterback for the Rebels in the fourth game of his junior season and he helped lead his team to a 5-2 record over the last seven games of the season.

Hannah passed for 415 yards and six touchdowns while rushing for 414 yards and four touchdowns. He also led his team in interceptions with three while returning two for touchdowns.

"He's probably the best overall athlete on the team," said Head Coach Todd Booker. "I think he's one of the best athletes in the region."

At 6-0 and 180 pounds with 4.5 speed, Hannah gives a team on the next level a lot of flexibility. What position does he see himself playing?

"Some teams are recruiting me to play quarterback, and some are recruiting me to play defensive back," said Hannah. "I'll probably play defense though. It doesn't matter to me whether I play corner or safety; I just want to play. I'm probably going to camps at Georgia, Georgia Tech, Auburn and Valdosta State. Auburn, Georgia and Georgia Tech are my three favorite teams right now. I'm also looking at Florida and Louisville."

Hannah is also an outstanding baseball player, and he's a solid student that should have no trouble qualifying.
