Simmons' Thoughts: Jones is known for his speed on the track just as much as he is for his coverage ability on the football field. Speed is his biggest asset.

Jones put up some of the fastest times in the country over the summer on the track and he shows that speed with the pads on as well. Jones still needs to improve his technique, his back pedal, and his ball recognition, but he has very good recovery speed, he is someone who closes on the ball well, and he is a threat to take an interception back the distance at any time.

Jones is a little on the smaller side standing closer to 5-foot-9, but he plays a physical brand of football. He is not scared of contact, bigger receivers do not intimidate him, and he is fearless when coming up to support the run.

He has played some running back and on film, that is where he caught my attention first. He got to the corner well, he turned it up field with great quickness, and he is able to apply that speed on the defensive side of the ball now.

After seeing him in multiple camps and watching him play live in a game, Jones has consistently moved up my list. He still has a lot of room for improvement, but he will go to Auburn with the will to work, speed to burn, and big-play potential at cornerback.
