Auburn is expected to get an unofficial visit from a junior college basketball prospect.
Independence, Kan.--Tony Criswell
, a 6-9, 230 junior college basketball forward, is expected to be in Auburn
this weekend for an official visit.
Criswell, who is from Oklahoma City where he was a two-time All-State performer at Douglass High School, signed with Independence Community College in May after transferring from UAB. He will be a redshirt sophomore for the 2011-2012 season.
As a senior he led Douglass High to a 25-3 record by averaging 17.1 points and 10 rebounds per contest. He redshirted at UAB and left the program after playing in 21 games last season. He averaged 3.2 points and 3.6 rebounds a game in 14.2 minutes per contest.
Criswell took an official visit to the University of Missouri last week and is also expected to visit Arkansas next week.
Coach Tony Barbee's Tigers have a pair of verbal commitments for the 2012 signee class from forward Shaquille Johnson and guard Jordan Price, both high school seniors.
