President Pleased With Visit to Auburn

Defensive line prospect Gimel President talks about his official visit to Auburn.

Mount Pleasant, S.C.--Defensive line commitment Gimel President took his official visit to Auburn over Iron Bowl weekend and the highlight of his trip was spending time with his future teammates.

"I went out with the team players and had a good time with them," President said. "I spent some time with all of the recruits and got to have fun.

"I spent time with the team players to get to know them so next year I'll know them and everything."

President's player host was defensive tackle Gabe Wright.

"I hung out with Gabe most of the time," he said.

One of President's favorite parts of the weekend was getting to watch Tiger Walk as the players were coming into the South entrance of the stadium. "It was good," he said. "I liked that. I just can't wait until I get to do that."

Up to 6-4, 240 pounds, President will play in a pair of All-Star games this post season--the South Carolina Shrine Game at Wofford on Dec. 17 and the International Bowl in Austin, Tex., on Feb. 1.

President noted that his senior season at Wando High School went well. "I did pretty good," he said, noting that opponents used two blockers and sometimes three players to block him. "I fought my way through," he said.
