Auburn Lineman Makes All-American Team

Auburn football freshman Reese Dismukes has been honored for his play during the 2011 season.

Auburn, Ala.--Reese Dismukes, who started all 13 games at center during the season, has been selected to the 2011 Freshman All-America team chosen by the Football Writers of America.

Dismukes, who is 6-3, 285 pounds, had previously been named to the Coaches All-SEC Freshman Team as well as the CBS Freshman All-America team.

Dismukes and senior tackle Brandon Mosley were the only players on the offense who started every game during the season for Coach Gene Chizik's Tigers.

Ranked a five-star prospect by Scout.com last year, he led Spanish Fort High School to its first-ever Class 5A state football title with a dominating performance throughout the season.

Dismukes is one of three returning starters on the offensive line who will be back for the 2012 season for the Tigers, who wrapped up the 2011 campaign with a 43-24 victory over Virginia in the Chick-fil-A Bowl.
