Signee Notes: Tight End Darrion Hutcherson

Versatile tight end prospect has signed to play football for the Tigers.

Dadeville, Ala.--Darrion Hutcherson, a 6-7, 240-pound three-star prospect at tight end, has signed scholarship papers to play football for the Auburn Tigers.

Position/Scout Ranking: Darrion Hutcherson, Dadeville (Ala.) High, three stars, ranked as the No. 14 tight end prospect in the country.

Auburn's Main Competition: He was being courted by Ole Miss and Alabama before and after he picked the Tigers.

Why Auburn Signed Him: At 6-7, 245 with good speed and hands, Hutcherson possess the ball skills to excel as both a blocker and a receiver on the collegiate level.

Worth Noting: As a senior, Hutcherson grabbed 30 receptions for 572 yards and six touchdowns. Once he straps on the pads for Auburn in the fall, he'll become the first player to play Division I football from Dadeville High in 15 years.
