Wallace told Inside the Auburn Tigers that he signed with Auburn early on Wednesday.
After an impressive showing at Auburn's Senior Mini-Camp last June, the standout signal caller for Phenix-City High was hopeful he'd receive of an offer from the Tigers.
With Zeke Pike already committed to play quarterback at Auburn, Wallace had to wait and see on that offer, though, as the Tigers were looking to take only one quarterback in the 2012 class.
That offer came and Scout.com's No.69 quarterback in the nation decided to pull the trigger and sign with the Tigers.
Wallace chose Auburn over offers from Oregon, Central Florida, Arkansas State, Southern Miss and others. He was an early commitment to Southern Miss, but switched to Central Florida after there was a coaching change with the Golden Eagles.
Jonathan Wallace is an athletic quarterback who is effective as a runner as well as a passer.
In his junior year, his first as a starting quarterback, Wallace accounted for more than 2,000 total yards, including 1,200 yards passing and 850 rushing, and 27 touchdowns.
Following his senior season he had a good performance in the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game in December.
